Have you ever tried to explain what you do to a child? I had that experience last week. I went to do an energy space clearing at Zachary’s house. He asked me “What are you going to do”? It surprised me because I usually explain my process to adults and my explanation uses science and words I knew a 5 year old would not understand. So I asked him “Have you ever seen the movie Star Wars”? he said “Yes” and started waving his arms around like he was wielding a light saber. “Then you know about the Force. There is the force the good force that makes us feel good and then there is the bad force that makes us feel bad. What I am going to do is increase the good force and have the bad force leave.” .“How are you going to do that”? he said. “Well there are three parts I told him:
- Let the bad force know I am coming
- Invite the bad force to leave
- Increase the good force in the house and fill your house with good force.
“Can you imagine your house filled with good force”? I asked. “Oh, yes”, he said. He wanted to know how the good force gets into the house and how the bad force gets out. “The force always comes in through the front door, so everyday when you open that front door the force is coming in”. He wanted to know where the bad force went when it left and I told him the bad force goes to the heavens where it is welcomed and gets turned into good force. When we were finished with the consultation Zachary asked me if I wanted to have a cup of tea. Of course I did and we had a delightful time.
On the drive home I realized the gift I had been given by Zachary the 5 year old. I had to think of new ways, simpler ways to talk about what I do. The gift was simplify. Are you struggling with something that seems difficult to understand? Try explaining it to a 5 year old and you may be surprised to find by making it simple you find a way to make it easy for yourself too.
