Here Is A Peek Inside A “Flow” Reading Of A Floor Plan

December 3, 2019 by @elioverbey

Did you know that your current concerns, problems, and challenges are visible in your floor plan?

Come along with me as I show you the design details in a floor plan and how the energy flow gives me information about the owners of the house.

The design details like the location of stairs, bathrooms, fireplaces, bedrooms, all make a difference in the flow of energy through your space.

The energy is either flowing and nurturing you or it is slow, stagnant and blocking you from reaching your goals and living the life you desire.

Do you have stairs near the front door, a bathroom in the center of your house, a bedroom over the garage, or a dining table that is visible from the front door? Every design detail in your floor plan matters. They support or limit the flow of energy through your home and your life.

You can buy new furniture, freshen the paint and decorate your home but if the “flow” is off in your floor plan you are wasting your time and money.

A Flow Reading of Your Floor Plan Helps You:

  • Discover where the flow is slow, stagnant and blocked in your floor plan and in your life.
  • Learn how to direct the flow of energy through your floor plan and house to minimize the impact of draining design details.
  • Create a plan with action steps you can take to bring your home into flow alignment so you can thrive.
  • Design better flow and a happier more fulfilling life.

There is a remedy for everything!

Even the most difficult design details have a solution.

Find out how the structure, design details, and the flow of your floor plan impact your current and future life experiences.

Nancy Dadami is an Intentional Flow Strategist, Energy Reader, and Problem Solver. She teaches curious, conscious, and creative Baby Boomers and Gen X’ers to understand “the flow” and find peace of mind as they live their ideal life.

Here Is A Feng Shui Clearing Method and House Blessing You Can Use To Improve Your Peace of Mind

November 19, 2019 by @elioverbey

Imagine you are standing in the place you call home. How do you feel when you are there?

Are you at ease, relaxed and happy in your home?

Does your home nourish and replenish you?

Do you feel somehow “off” when you are in your home?  You know something is amiss and you can’t figure out why you just aren’t comfortable there. Or do you wake up stressed with all you have to get done?

When the energy in your home is not aligned with your desires it can be overwhelming. If the energy in your home is negative or stagnant it will impact all areas of your life including your peace of mind and well-being.

Your home can have the vibration of a sanctuary that nurtures you and contributes to your well-being and peace of mind. When your home has good “flow” the energy vibe is uplifting and positive, making it easier for you to be happy and have peace of mind.

Today I am going to share a 4 – step Feng Shui Clearing method and House Blessing that you can use to increase your well-being and peace of mind.

Creating a sacred space in your home matters.

Think of a time when you went into someone’s home and it felt chaotic. The chaos of the space made you uneasy and you probably wanted to leave as soon as possible.

That is because everything is energy and everything is connected. We connect with the energy of our spaces whether the energy is uplifting or draining and that energy impacts how we feel and how we function everywhere.

You can create sacred space within your home whether it is an altar you make for offerings, a meditation space, your special place to drink tea, or your creative studio. Sacred space is a place where you communicate with spirit, give thanks, and offer prayers.

Intentions Matter

You connect to your desires when you create intentions. When you say your intentions out loud you call the energy of the universe to support you. Writing intentions is a powerful process that allows you to refine and focus on exactly what you want.

Intentions are like the goalposts in a football game, they help you focus on where you are going. Imagine a football game without goalposts. The players would not know where to run with the ball. Chaos and confusion would be in charge.

Ceremony Matters

When you combine your intentions with sacred actions you create a powerful ceremony.  A ceremony can clear, boost and uplift the energy of your intentions and your home. The most important part of performing a ceremony is your sincerity. You must be 100% sincere to get the results you seek.

Step 1 – Preparation for the Feng Shui Clearing Method and House Blessing

  • Stand at your front door and notice how you feel there.
  • Walk clockwise around your house noticing how you feel in each area and room.
  • Make a note of your impressions and feelings.

Step 2 – Create Your Intentions

  • Begin by searching your heart. What do you desire?
  • Write your intentions following these guidelines:
    • State the intention as if it is already happening.
    • Eliminate the words “to be, try, and will”
    • Give yourself time to clarify your intentions.
    • Check your sincerity, you must be sincere for success.

Step 3– The Orange Peel Method For Clearing A Home

This method is used to clear negative, draining, stale, or stagnant energy from your home. Follow the instructions below:

  1. Purchase a fresh orange
  2. Sit in a peaceful place in your home to prepare the orange and sacred water.
  3. Cut 9 small, round, disk-like pieces(circles) of the rind only, not the orange.
  4. While cutting the orange rind think about the energy you would like to clear from your home and all the things you would like to be released.
  5. Place the orange pieces in a small bowl of water. Say your intentions into the bowl of water and orange pieces.
  6. Starting at the front door, walk through each room and sprinkle water by dipping the fingers with your right hand into the water. Use a flicking motion to sprinkle a small amount of water in each room. Visualize negative and stagnant energy is being released.
  7. Finish at the front door and give thanks for the energy clearing.

You can use the Orange Peel Method to clear energy in your home anytime you believe a clearing or boost in the vibration is needed.

Step 4 – The House Blessing

  • Begin by standing inside your home at the front door or at your altar if you have one.
  • Center yourself with a few deep breaths
  • Take a moment to connect with the energy of your home, your feelings of gratitude and love for the sacred space you live in.
  • Read the House Blessing. You can add your own words to any part of the blessing to make it your own. Or you can read it as is.
  • Remember to be sincere.

House Blessing For Your Home

May this house shelter your life.

When you come in home here,

May all the weight of the world

Fall from your shoulders.

May your heart be tranquil here,

Blessed by peace the world cannot give.

May this home be a lucky place,

Where the graces your life desires

Always find the pathway to your door.

May nothing destructive

Ever cross your threshold.

May this be a safe place

Full of understanding and acceptance,

Where you can be as you are,

Without the need of any mask

Of pretense or image.

May this home be a place of discovery,

Where the possibilities that sleep

In the clay of your soul can emerge

To deepen and refine your vision

For all that is yet to come to birth.

May it be a house of courage,

Where healing and growth are loved,

Where dignity and forgiveness prevail;

A home where patience of spirit is prized,

And the sight of the destination is never lost

Though the journey be difficult and slow.

May there be great delight around this hearth,

May it be a home of welcome

For the broken and diminished.

May you have the eyes to see

That no visitor arrives without a gift

And no guest leaves without a blessing.

~John O’Donohue

Step 5 – Post Ceremony Check

  • Stand at your front door and notice how you feel there
  • Walk clockwise around your home noticing how you feel in each area and room
  • What do you notice has changed after doing the orange peel method and house blessing?

You shift and move energy when you perform sacred ceremonies in your surroundings.

Some of the changes you may notice right away and other changes may be subtle and more noticeable over time.

When your home has the vibration of a peaceful sanctuary it nurtures you and contributes to your well-being and peace of mind.

When your home has good “flow” the energy vibration is uplifting and positive, supporting your happiness, health, and peace of mind.

Change The World For The Better By Doing This One Thing

October 29, 2019 by @elioverbey

I could feel the warmth of the sun on my face and the wind tossing my hair as I let the road lead me. I was relaxed and happy as thoughts of seeing my friend danced through my mind.  I love driving my convertible with the top down feeling the gentleness of nature surround me like a cocoon.

Oh, here is her street, I stopped to make a left turn. Even though my turn indicator was blinking the boy driving behind me did not see that I was stopped.

Wham! I was hit from behind with great force. My car was thrust forward about 25 feet, my glasses flew off my face and landed in the backseat.  I was stunned, shaken, confused, and disoriented.

A kind man walking on the sidewalk across the street heard the loud crash and immediately ran through oncoming traffic to my car reassuring me that I would be alright. His voice was calm and soothing. I launched into a panic.

He stayed with me, gently talking to me, helping me to calm down. Not only his kind words but his presence was comforting to me.  He appeared out of nowhere at just the right time to be of assistance.

When the police arrived, just like that he was gone. His act of kindness meant more to me than he may ever know.  Although I was not able to thank him I can pay it forward by doing a kind deed for someone else.

Think back to a time when you did a good deed for someone. Did you plan it or was a spontaneous act of kindness?

Kindness is truly a win-win-win situation. The person who receives the good deed benefits from your help, you feel good for having helped someone and the world is a better place because of your kindness.

Never underestimate the impact of a single good deed or act of kindness.

Oh, yes and did I say kindness is contagious. I feel good when someone does something kind for me, it makes me want to pass the kindness on . I see the happiness and sparkle in other’s eyes when I do a good deed for them.

When H.H. Grandmaster Professor Lin Yun Rinpoche, my Feng Shui Master, was asked what we could do to improve our good luck and create more peace in our world he told us to do one good deed a day for 27 days.

Your good deed or act of kindness ripples out into the world as a positive energy force uplifting all of us.  Imagine the impact you could make by doing a good deed or act of kindness for someone every day for 27 days. Not only would you uplift and shift your energy field you would uplift the energy field of those around you.

The 27 Day Challenge

Are you ready to take on a challenge? I challenge you to do at least one good deed a day for 27 days. The good deeds can be for people you know or for strangers.

Even the smallest act of kindness makes a difference. It’s a win-win-win for all of us. You make someone else happy, increase your own good luck and help to create peace in our world. I know this has the power to shift your circumstances.

The First Step To A Better World Begins With You

October 4, 2019 by @elioverbey

Do you know the benefits of being kind to yourself? Your overall well-being can be improved when you are kind to yourself or others. When was the last time you focused on treating yourself with kindness and self-compassion?

Personal Benefits of Kindness

The benefits of kindness are more than feeling good. Kindness affects the well-being of your body and your mind. Here are some of the benefits of being and showing kindness to yourself and others.

  • Kindness slows down the aging process. People who volunteer tend to have fewer aches and pains.
  • Kindness improves your relationships and connections with others. You are uplifted when you perform acts of kindness for yourself or others.
  • Kindness increases happiness. In a study by The Journal of Social Psychology, those who practiced an acto fo kindness each day had a higher level of happiness than those who did not.
  • Kindness boosts your self-love and self-respect. It makes you happier and in an elevated mood more often.
  • Kindness helps prevent illnesses caused by inflammation. Volunteering seems to lower the levels of inflammation in your body. Oxytocin is released, even from small acts of kindness to yourself or others.
  • Kindness is good for your heart. It makes you feel good to be kind and it affects the chemical balance of your heart, releasing oxytocin which reduces blood pressure. Another great reason to be kind to yourself and others.
  • Kindness helps reduce stress. Helping others lets you focus on another, letting your worries and problems go.

What To Do Next

Kindness helps you stay healthy, happy and feel good about yourself. By practicing self-compassion without expectations you are spreading happiness that has the power to ripple out into the world.

Start With A Loving-Kindness Meditation

You can practice this meditation before you start your day, as you are going to bed at night or anytime during the day that feels right. Remember to begin with yourself so you will be filled up, making it easier to give to others.

Let me know how your Loving Kindness practice is going.
