Are you curious about the energy forces that the Metal Rabbit is bringing into the New Year? How will they affect you, your family, and your business? Are you ready for a big change? Chinese New Year is on February 3rd this year.
The tone of the year reflects the characteristics of the year’s animal and element. This past year we were influenced by the metal tiger and for me the year has been intense, bold, fierce, serious, and I have to called on my patience, courage, and independence to get through.
Rabbits are calm, kind, sensitive, affectionate, cooperative, friendly, ambitious, and articulate, show good judgment, have a good head for business, and are family oriented. Rabbits are usually associated with home and family, artistic pursuits, diplomacy, and keeping the peace. Rabbits always inspire deep admiration and trust. They are associated with the wood element and the coming year is a metal year. This creates conflict between the metal and wood (think axes and pruning shears) which creates a tone to the year that might make it difficult to feel the Rabbit’s gentleness and sensitivity. Unlike the tiger, the rabbit prefers to avoid conflict by withdrawing, something to consider this year.
My indicators tell me this year will be mellower than last year. The metal element will bring prosperity to the financial, entertainment, and energy industries.
There are twelve animals in the Chinese Zodiac and each relates to the other in a different way. They can be compatible or confrontational.
Rams, Dogs, and Pigs make the best partners for Rabbits which means they will also have a smoother year than some of the other zodiac animals. The Dragon and the Rooster are in conflict with the Rabbit and might face more difficulties in a Rabbit year. To find out your animal send me your birthday, with month, day, and year and I will send it back to you.
Traditionally every sign carries a three-dimensional Lucky Jade Animal Charm. I usually attach mine to my purse. Everyone gets a new charm to optimize good fortune, get in alignment with the new energy of the year, and symbolize a new beginning.
For the Year of the Rabbit 2011, it is suggested that all of us carry a Dog Charm. The Dog is the most compatible sign to the Rabbit. H.H. Grandmaster Lin Yun Rinpoche always taught us, “When the Dog meets the Rabbit the path to wealth becomes apparent.”
Those born under the sign of the Dragon or Rooster do not resonate with Dog energy, they may carry a Goat & Pig combo charm to serve the same purpose. These charms will help divert disaster, recognize opportunities, bring blessings, and attract wealth.
