Here is a Way to Check the Flow in Your Home & Why It's important

Living Room

Is your home organized with everything in its place?

Do you have too much stuff? Are your closets, drawers, or cabinets overflowing?

How about your garage? Is it a catch-all when you don’t know where else to put something?

Your surroundings matter. The energy flowing through your home influences your well-being, peace, prosperity, love, and health.

Here is a way to check the flow in your home.

Once you know this, you can improve the flow of your life.

Today, I have a method to help you see how flow moves through your space.

Flow is a Feng Shui Principle that will not be ignored. Yep, it can’t be ignored.

Imagine the flow like a river coming into your home at the front door (yes, stick with me here). The river brings the invisible life force energy into your home. It moves through your home as a river flows within its banks.

As the energy enters, it flows into and through each room in your home. Think of the banks of a river holding and guiding the river. The walls of your home are like the riverbanks guiding the flow of life force energy.

As the water flows in the river, what happens to the flow when there is a boulder in the middle of the river? Or a stagnant pool on the edge of the river? Or a slow-moving, deep section of the river?

When the flow moves around boulders, it slows down near a stagnant pool and rests in the slow-moving deep water section of the river. Flow is altered when it cannot move freely. The bigger the boulder, the more blockage the flow has to navigate.

Just like a river, your home has boulders too. What are the boulders in your home?

Clutter, Furniture placement, Broken items, poor lighting, and the design of your floor plan are boulders or pebbles.

Furniture blocks the flow when it is too big for the room or in the natural path of the flow. (The flow enters each room through the doorway and circulates in the space. When furniture prevents the natural flow through your space, it causes blockages, stress, and other problems.)

Clutter blocks or slows down the nourishing flow, leading to loss of money, health, love, and peace of mind.

Research shows that after 21 days, we do not see our surroundings as they are. We get used to the papers on the table, messy counters, overflowing closets, or boxes stacked in a room. Even though we cannot see the clutter, it impacts our energy and livelihood.

If you don’t see the flow restrictions in your home, you might create stress and lose inner peace without knowing it.

Here is the TIP:

  • Choose a room and take a picture of it.
  • Look at the picture and look at every item in the picture
  • Ask yourself: “Is this item helping flow or harming flow?”
  • If the item blocks flow, it harms you and your family somehow.
  • Make the changes that increase the flow of life force energy into your room by moving furniture, clearing clutter (even in drawers, filing cabinets, purses, etc.), and cleaning out those catch-all places.

When you finish one room, choose another, take a picture, and repeat the process.

Conclusion

The flow of energy in your home profoundly affects your well-being, peace, and prosperity. You can invite more positive energy into your life by identifying and removing clutter, rearranging furniture, and improving your space's overall harmony.

Start by taking small steps, like evaluating one room at a time, and watch how the changes transform your home and your mindset. As the flow improves, you'll experience greater peace and harmony in your living space and your life.
