You can see her face almost anywhere in the world. It is said that she is the Goddess of Compassion and is held in high regard not only by Taoists and Buddhists but also by manyKuan Yin outside these religions. Kuan Yin knows no religious boundaries.

Statues honor the miracles of Kuan Yin in temples, businesses, and homes.  She is the expression of loving compassion, the one who will come to your aid, the one who offers a caring aspect to the world; she will save you from the perils of this world. People turn to her when they are desperate to have children, for it is said that she brings children. If you are sick, you can turn to her for healing. If you are in danger, you can pray to her for deliverance. She is all pervasive, all loving, the embodiment of grace and beauty.

We were driving home from Calistoga, and I was drawn to stop at a statutory store. I have been looking for a Kuan Yin statue and have seen one that “felt” right like she was mine. Today was my lucky day. I purchased two beautiful Kuan Yin statues, one for the altar in my office and the other for a sacred space in my yard. I believed that when I saw the right statue for me, I would know it. Today was the glorious day I found her.
